Install/Problem Notes
SATA disk not reliably recognized during install. Disabled SATA
interface. Installed EIDE disk drive.
After several months, started to encounter problems with Xorg
hanging, especially when rendering HTML pages. Suspect video card
and/or driver. Unresolved.
Ethernet interface failed (2006-05-01). Device configures without
errors. Power light on back panel and switch. Routing looks OK (except
that MSS = 0, is that a problem? other machines here set MSS = 40).
No firewalling.
Secondhand Reports
One report of problems installing Debian on ASUS K8N-E: Firewire
controller recognized as eth0, ethernet as eth1.
