House Projects: Range Hoods

This is the beginnings of a shopping list for relatively high-end ranges for redoing our kitchen. Search started Aug. 11, 2008. Once we are done, this file will not be maintained.

A previous redo of the kitchen/dining room area took out the wall separating the two, and placed an island in between, with a 30" KitchenAid slide-in range. Above the range, the ceiling was dropped about 2 feet with a plywood box and two recessed lights. The room has no real ventilation, so it is especially important to drop a range hood from the ceiling box above the new range.
